Darley Park Concert
Every year Derby City Council organises the UK’s largest free classical music concert at Darley Park which is attended by around 30,000 people from Derby and around the UK. It is locally known as the Concert in the Park.

The evening’s entertainment is centred around a main stage on which various classical musicians perform works from the great classical composers such as Strauss, Mozart and Wagner.
The concert is brought to a close by the famous Darley Park Fireworks display. To see a video of last year's fireworks extravaganza just go to Darley Park and watch the latest video reviews.
Each year the concert takes on a specific theme generally related to the City of Derby and its people. For example in 2010 the theme was loosely based around Florence Nightingale although there were also other influences on the evening.
