Derby Bus Station
Derby bus station is a brand new development which forms part of the Riverlights project and officially opened on the 28th March 2010. Derby bus station is located on The Cockpit just off Morledge Street in Derby which is next to Riverside Gardens and is the central hub for bus services from National Express, Arriva buses as well as Trent Barton buses.
On the site of Derby bus station there is an information office for passengers to find out about bus routes within and out of Derby as well as bus timetables and ticketing information.

Derby Bus Park & Ride
Within Derby there are two Park & Ride schemes which are both run by the Notts&Derby bus company. These are:
The Meteor Centre Park & Ride
The Meteor Centre in Derby is located to the north of the city centre and can be found using postcode DE21 4SY. The bus service operating the Meteor Centre Park & Ride is the D1 and runs about every 10 or 15 minutes throughout the day between the hours of 7.30am and 6pm Monday to Friday and on Saturday between 8.30am and 6pm.
Tickets for the Park and Ride scheme cost £2.20 and are dispensed when you pay for your parking (included in the cost). This ticket will cover up to 7 passengers of the car that is parked.
Pride Park Park & Ride
The second Park & Ride scheme in Derby is at Pride Park which can be found to the east of the city centre using postcode DE24 8AN. The bus service for Pride Park Park and Ride is bus number 111 which also runs every 10 to 15 minutes but between the hours of 7am and 7pm from Monday to Friday. On Saturdays, due to the football traffic, the service finishes at 1pm.
Derby University Park & Ride
There is also a Park and Ride scheme specifically for the students of Derby University which is operated from Markeaton Park during University term times. The buses that run this service are numbers 4 and 5 and there are around 5 services per hour. The cost of the bus is free between university sites and a yearly parking permit will cost you £52.
