Fireworks displays in Derby

With bonfire night, or Guy Fawkes night just a few days away it’s time to dig out your wellies and wrap up warm and go and find your local organised fireworks display. Bonfire night in Derby is always one to remember with many local displays both in Derby and Derbyshire.

Sunday, 1 November

Markeaton Park

Derby City Council Bonfire and Firework Display

Bonfire: 17.45, Fireworks: 18.00, Funfair: 14.00 - 21.00

Refreshments available

Car parking available at the University of Derby on Kedleston Road for £5 per car.

Orange /blue badge holders will be able to park on Markeaton Park, and access the car park from the main entrance on Ashbourne Road.

 

Thursday, 5 November

The Sycamore Inn, Birch Vale

Start time: 18.00

Further info: Spectacular firework display / Bonfire / BBQ food and toffee apples on sale! Outdoor Disco.

Friday 6 November

Hartshorne Cricket Club Bonfire & Firework Spectacular

The Admiral Rodney, Main Street, Hartshorne

Bonfire 18.30 Fireworks: 19.00 - Bring your own guy for us to burn!

Barbeque and Tombola

Admission: free! (donation buckets - proceeds go to Hartshorne Cricket Club)

Saturday 7 November

Belper Meadows Sports Club

Christchurch Meadows, Belper

Bonfire: 19.00 - Fireworks: 19.30 + 20.00

Hotdogs, hot drinks and bar available

Admission costs: Adult £3, Children £1, Teenagers £2, under 5s Free

 

Wirksworth Fireworks Extravaganza

Wapentake Field near Ravenstor (National Stone Centre)

Start time: from 18:00

Admission costs: Adult £6, child/concession £3, family (4) £15 on the night (£4, £2 and £10 in advance)

There is limited car parking at the event but you can travel to the event by train from the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway's station at Wirksworth - £3.00 park and ride system.

Etwall Cricket Club

Start time: 17.45

Bar and hot food available, fire entertainer and bouncy castle (weather permitting)

Admission costs: £12 per family or £4 per single on the night (£10 & £3 prepaid). Proceeds to Etwall Primary School SOS swimming pool appeal and Etwall Cricket Club.

 

Alvaston & Boulton Cricket Club

Raynesway, Derby

Opens: 18.00, Bonfire 19.00, Fireworks 19.30

Bar & hot food available, Bouncy Castle, Bungie Slide and Sumos

Admission Cost: £2 per person, under 5s free.

Midland Railway, Butterley

Fireworks: The display is at Swanwick Junction, with trains running to and from Butterley Station to the display area between 17.30 and 19.15.

The display will be set to music.

Admission costs: Adult £9, children free.

The museum , Stationary Power display, shops and Buffets will be open as will the Demonstration Signal Box and Victorian Railwaymans Church.

The narrow gauge Golden Valley Light Railway will be taking visitors on a ride through the 'spooky' Country Park (extra charge).
