RSPCA stands for the Royal Society for the Protection of Cruelty to Animals and has many locations all over the country including Derby. The RSPCA in Derby shares the organisation’s national objective of caring for animals that have been mistreated or that have no one to care for them as well as campaigning to stop cruelty to animals in general.

 

As well as caring for abandoned or mistreated animals in Derby and Derbyshire they actively seek to find new homes for them after taking them in and often nurturing them back to good health.

The RSPCA have separate opening hours depending of the service you require and also the time of year.

Ways of Giving to Derby RSPCA

 

There are many ways in which you can help the RSPCA in Derby and these include the following:

 

Make a Donation – The RSPCA relies completely on donations from the public and legacies left by people in their wills. There are a number of different ways that you can donate for the benefit of Derby RSPCA.

·         One-off payment via their website www.rspca.org.uk/donation

·         Leaving a legacy in your will. To do this you will need to speak to your solicitor to specify your request

·         Sending in a cheque to the above address, made payable to RSPCA Derby & District RSPCA

·         Going into the centre in person and leaving cash or a cheque

·         Make a monthly donation straight from your wages with the Give As You Earn scheme – contact your employer for details

·         Donating items that can be sold in RSPCA charity shops or animal food and toys to help enrich the lives of the animals that the RSPCA care for

The RSPCA in Derby has many different animals that need a good home, available for adoption. Most commonly these include Dogs, cats, rabbits, birds and a variety of other small animals such as ferrets and mice.
